All I'm doing is relaying info I'm reading from other forums, the 555r seem to actually expel water decently due to the tread design, until they are bald of course. The average what people are saying is averaging ~ 13k miles, but that's with occasional track use.
I just get on it occasionally honestly.
    Is an 03, no tc.
I'll get back to you on the front tire size, it's already staggered a good bit

If I go with the NT555 g2 I feel like it would look silly compared to how my car sits right now but then again, I never owned the car with it completely level either.

Most of what you read on drag radials are on drag cars that can run on street, lightweight, not streetcars that can run on the drags. your car is 4500 lbs with driver and stuff kept in trunk etc. so cut that mileage figure in half. and a 285/40/18 will be shorter than the front tires. since you do not know what a better tire is like, since you have all season suv tires on it, then listen to us and get the Nitto 555 performance tire. It has the same tread design as the drag radial but it has tread more than 5/32 deep, 2/32 deep is the federal minimum, not bald , 295/45/18..same height as the factory tire, only wider.

    OR

I may go for it and get the nitto 555R drag radials and daily them, they are 305/45/18 which is a 5mm difference in side wall, ~10mm shorter than my current diameter. I hear allot of people getting like over 20k miles out of them. What do you think?

Honestly I'm leaning towards the drag radials, I'm just worried about having to change them constantly. 40 dollar difference in price between them.
Why do you want the G2? They're shorter than the original 555 street tires. The originals are still available, I just put a set on about a month ago.

Seen this posted a bunch of times. Hate to see people ruining nice cars by doing stupid stuff, but some people have to learn the hard way.

If you get 5 k miles on drag radials you're driving on very dangerous tires. Again, why G2?

Not only are they good looking and performing tires, but you can get front and rear with the same type tire, both wider than stock. Gives it a nice, aggressive look.

IMG_0585.jpgThe 555's meet and excel for all my traction needs, and I think they look good on a lowered car.

Yea I just found some, had no clue they came in 295/45. It's a shame that my wheel size is limiting me to 295 without having to be a drag radial. Oh well, have to do the best with what we got right? I'll probably just go with those. Thanks everyone

The reason why I use them as a basis is because I like the way the car sits as it is. Front tires are 245/45/18, no traction control, 2003

285's are .61 taller than factory that's all I am getting at. 4.30 is not helping with traction, I have 4.10's and 55+ more hp and 295's..traction not good with a full romp on the pedal from a dead stop.have to have pedal control to maximize traction

You can adjust the rear height by adjust the ride height sensor to maintain a rake that you prefer.

Yea, I haven't owned the car long but I'm getting pretty good at putting it to the ground as it sits now, just looking for any help possible because it gets pretty dang violent from a dig lol
