    Heated Seat Question

I know I have seen this before, but for the life of me can not find it while searching through here or Google.

So the one item on the Marauder that does not work are the heated seats. Fuse is good, lights light up, but zero heat. I have let it go for awhile, but recently started looking at addressing the 'issue'. I came across a Dorman Heated Seat Kit (https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-628-04.../dp/B002U6IL9O). Does anyone know if this would work on the Marauder? It says 'universal' ... but I have learned, not all things are true.

Anyone have advice, or instructions on how to do it?

Not sure if I will take it on quite yet, an addition is in progress at home-so time is short, but something for me to look into.

    Thanks!

Check all the connections under the seat.

Know that the heating elements will be less efficient over time.

I'll probably replace mine this year and add them to the rear seats.

Replace with what...? I'm having the same issue. Now the passenger one doesn't light up on the switch.

First, be leery of anything by Dorman. Second, for the amount of work it will take to install that kit, you could just as easily fix the seat with the proper parts.

I think it's a tempting solution. The Dorman stuff seems alarmingly inexpensive, but it's supported by many happy reviews. I understand the common issue with our seats is the wire in the heating elements breaks over time. I'd bet the replacement elements could be slipped under our factory upholstery and wired into the original switches.

The hot ticket would be to test the wiring and figure out the connections under the seat before tearing into the seats.

In regards to the Dorman comment, I installed their window regulator/motor combo on both front doors on my MM and no complaints...

I'm going to replace the fronts with aftermarket carbon fiber elements.

Will install the same in the rear seats.

I wouldnt mind better seat heaters. Theyre are not as hot as newer cars and dont heat up as quickly. Though on the other hand, I dont drive the car in the winter so do I really car that much? Now, air conditioned/ventilated seats would be cool!
