Continuing the quest for speed (and knowledge)...I inquired WHY auto manufacturers install RPM limiters.
The answer: they are to protect the 'automatic' transmission from damage and ensure a reasonable degree of longevity.
ESPECIALLY, those transmissions with OVERDRIVES!!
For now, at least, I feel more comfortable in determining that an exhaust mod. AND removal of the SPEED limiter will best suit my immediate desires.
