    Passenger seat inop

Okay guys, I've had my car since Nov. 2014 and my passenger seat not moving has been bothering me ever since. I want to say that I think the switch is the culprit. I can tell it isn't drawing power when I try to move the seat. Perhaps when it first had tint the tinter messed something up? The power lumbar does work, I plan on taking the door panel off and switching the switch out with one from ebay. Any other ideas?

Did you look under the seat to make sure the connectors are tight?

Do all of the seat functions not work, or only the fore/aft?

None of the seat functions work besides lumbar.

    Real easy.......

Is there power to the seat switch?

Is there power to the seat motors when you operate the switch?

The seat functions and the lumbar compressor share the same fuse in the BJB...they also share the same ground, so if the lumbar compressor is working, then I'd say check for +12V on pin 11 of the seat switch. it's a BK/WH wire.

BL/WH? You have a pic of what it looks like? If it's not drawing power I take it that the connector is bad?

My apologies...that wire is actually BK/WH. I edited my post above...

FYI... connectors very very rarely go bad.

Have you checked power to the switch and from the switch to the motors?

Not yet, but I will when I get the time. I don't have a voltmeter handy so I might have a shop look at it once I leave Hawaii.

UPDATE: I watched a few videos on youtube and gathered up the nerve to take the panel off and guess what? The wiring wasn't even plugged in! Went to plug it back in and everything works! Saved myself at least $100.00! I'm so happy!
